<p>Description and Functions</p> <p>Open Until Filled</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>This seasonal position will serve as the educator/programmer for Curt Gowdy's Little House on the Park, a unique venue within Curt Gowdy State Park. The mission is to educate and inspire children to understand the importance of kindness in the world.</p> <p>Re-create yourself with an inspiring career in Wyoming's outdoors! Watch our recruitment video here:</p> <p>Human Resource Contact: stacy.sprengeler@wyo.gov, 307-777-7010</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.</p> <ul> <li>Little House on the Park requires a creative individual to execute programs that inspire children to learn and behave with kindness. </li><li>We are looking for candidates with a passion for working with children and fostering goodness in the world. </li><li>Successful candidates will work with the park and Cheryl Gowdy & family to promote and facilitate kindness programming for children and families who come to Little House events. </li><li>This facility primarily caters to youth ages 3-12, and their families. Example programs include story-time and kindness-oriented crafts. </li><li>Working at the Little House requires organization and the ability to execute programming based on a planned schedule, along with flexibility as different groups come and go throughout the day. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Preference may be given to applicants who can work evenings, outdoors, and on a Friday through Sunday schedule.</p> <p>Must be passionate about the mission and vision and be able to connect program attendees to that vision.</p> <p>Must be at least 16 years of age.</p> <p>Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE:</p> <ul> <li>Skill in educating children </li><li>Classroom management skills </li><li>Public speaking and general public interaction </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>None - See "Preferences"</p> <p>Necessary Special Requirements</p> <p>PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Work will be performed outdoors in all weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>NOTES:</p> <ul> <li>FLSA: Non-exempt </li><li>This is a seasonal position, working Friday through Sunday with some planning days before the regular schedule begins. </li><li>The employment period is approximately Memorial Day to Labor Day. </li><li>Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and actively supports the ADA and reasonably accommodates qualified applicants with disabilities.
