<p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a New Graduate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Telemetry & Medical/Surgical Units at St. Mary's Medical Center.</p> <p>Shift's Available: Varies</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Hours: (12-hour shifts)</p> <p>Location: St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Maintains accurate collection of specimens with appropriate patient labels before sending to the Lab. </li><li>Uses two different patient identifiers consistently when drawing lab, administering medications or performing any procedure on a patient. </li><li>Follows all medication policies including the medication reconciliation policy consistently. </li><li>Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources of time, equipment, personnel and supplies. </li><li>Demonstrates understanding of the roles and functions of other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. </li><li>Collaborates with other members of the health team and manages unit issues and/or concerns effectively at the lowest level possible. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>Current and valid state license </li><li>Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. </li><li>IV certification upon hire (state specific) </li></ul> <p>Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/</p> <p>Employment Status</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Variable</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
