<p>Material Handler</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and managing materials within a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or distribution center. This role involves loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper storage, and supplying production lines or shipping areas. The Material Handler plays a critical role in maintaining an organized and efficient workflow while adhering to safety protocols and handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Material Handling & Movement: </li><li>Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. </li><li>Move materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping areas according to instructions. </li><li>Ensure proper labeling, packing, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse or facility. </li><li>Inventory Management: </li><li>Track and record inventory levels, reporting any discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor. </li><li>Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy of stock. </li><li>Keep materials organized and stored in a safe, orderly manner. </li><li>Shipping & Receiving Support: </li><li>Assist with preparing materials for shipment, ensuring they are properly packaged and labeled. </li><li>Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and conditions of items. </li><li>Maintain documentation related to shipping and receiving, including packing lists and inventory logs. </li><li>Equipment Operation & Maintenance: </li><li>Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. </li><li>Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures when operating machinery or handling materials. </li><li>Safety & Compliance: </li><li>Adhere to all safety regulations, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). </li><li>Keep work areas clean and free of debris, maintaining a safe and organized environment. </li><li>Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately. </li><li>Documentation & Reporting: </li><li>Complete and maintain accurate records related to material movement, inventory, and shipments. </li><li>Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth material flow and resolve any issues. </li></ul>
