<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Goal</p> <p>Facilitate and coordinate the partnership between Grandview C-4 School District, PREP-KC, KCNSC,</p> <p>and the KC STEM Alliance to significantly enhance STEM engagement and deliver meaningful,</p> <p>curriculum-connected Real-World Learning (RWL) experiences. The primary focus is to excite, prepare,</p> <p>and empower students for future careers through hands-on PLTW modules, purposeful career</p> <p>exploration, robotics programming, and impactful interactions with industry volunteers across the K-8</p> <p>pipeline.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>? Identify, design, and support a comprehensive suite of STEM and RWL experiences aligned to K-8</p> <p>curriculum, Grandview's Portrait of a Graduate, and district goals.</p> <p>? Collaborate with PREP-KC, KCNSC, KC STEM Alliance, PLTW, and additional community partners to</p> <p>embed career awareness, exploration, and authentic industry connections in classroom instruction.</p> <p>? Develop and implement scalable classroom volunteer opportunities, including connector sessions,</p> <p>large-scale STEM events, community projects, and K-8 field experiences.</p> <p>? Facilitate full implementation of PLTW Launch (K-5) and PLTW Gateway (6-8), including teacher</p> <p>onboarding, curriculum support, material management, assessment alignment, and technology</p> <p>integration (e.g., Seesaw, PICRAT).</p> <p>? Coordinate teacher training, Planning Nights, model classroom sessions, and year-round professional</p> <p>learning to ensure high-quality instructional delivery.</p> <p>? Support buildings with scheduling, long-term planning, and fidelity checks to ensure teachers use</p> <p>PLTW as the core science resource in elementary and a key STEM pathway in middle school.</p> <p>? Foster connections between schools, KCNSC volunteers, KC STEM Alliance, and coaches to sustain</p> <p>and expand FIRST LEGO League Explore & Challenge teams across all elementary and middle</p> <p>schools.</p> <p>? Lead district-hosted robotics events, including scrimmages, showcases, and the regional qualifier;</p> <p>manage event logistics, volunteer recruitment, schedules, and judging/robot-game systems.</p> <p>? Support coaches with communication, training, resources, and ongoing development.</p> <p>? Design, facilitate, and evaluate professional development for teachers, coaches, and staff on</p> <p>Real-World Learning, PLTW best practices, robotics, technology integration, student engagement, and</p> <p>instructional alignment.</p> <p>? Support the development of RWL-aligned curriculum, including PBL units, writing tasks, and</p> <p>interdisciplinary connections.</p> <p>? Establish transparent processes for program implementation, volunteer quality assurance, and</p> <p>consistent teacher support across buildings.</p> <p>? Collect, analyze, and report data on volunteer engagement, PLTW implementation, robotics</p> <p>participation, teacher PD, student impact, and RWL experiences.</p> <p>? Use data to inform continuous improvement and strategic planning.</p> <p>? Serve as the primary liaison between Grandview C-4 and PREP-KC, KCNSC, KC STEM Alliance,</p> <p>higher education partners, and additional community/industry stakeholders.</p> <p>? Cultivate long-term strategic partnerships & relationships that enhance opportunities for students and</p> <p>teachers.</p> <p>? Attend and contribute to partnership committee meetings, advisory groups, and RWL-centered</p> <p>meetings on behalf of district leadership.</p> <p>? Actively engage with local, regional, and national networks to expand opportunities for program</p> <p>growth, funding, teacher externships, student experiences, and industry-aligned STEM pathways.</p> <p>? Supporting pathways through the tracking program and determining strategic deployment of</p> <p>volunteer/mentor integration with a focus on long-term sustainability.</p> <p>? Tracking and reporting relevant student outcomes and impact metrics to community stakeholders.</p> <p>Building Support & Collaboration</p> <p>? Work directly with building leaders, the Department of Curriculum & Instruction, teachers, coaches,</p> <p>and support staff to scale classroom volunteers and embed RWL experiences department-wide.</p> <p>? Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>? Bachelor's degree required; background in education, STEM, instructional coaching, or related field</p> <p>preferred.</p> <p>? Missouri teaching credential preferred but not required.</p> <p>? Demonstrated experience in STEM education, Real-World Learning, PLTW, robotics, or career</p> <p>exploration initiatives.</p> <p>? Proven track record of cultivating community partnerships and leading collaborative, multi-stakeholder</p> <p>projects.</p> <p>? Ability to support teachers, volunteers, and students in dynamic, fast-paced K-12 environments.</p> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
