This position will interact with the public in a professional, courteous, safe and helpful manner. This position works independently under general supervision of the Operations Supervisor and Arena Manager.</p> <p>Work schedules are part-time:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday evenings (time varies between 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm). </li><li>Saturday and Sunday daytime and evening shifts. </li><li>Shift times will vary due to building usage </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Operates ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni) and other ice related equipment. Performs general maintenance of resurfacing machine and other ice related equipment. </li><li>Performs all opening and/or closing procedures to ensure the Plymouth Ice Center is safe and secure. </li><li>Perform and/or monitor routine janitorial and cleaning duties to maintain sanitation and appearance at the ice center (locker rooms, bathrooms, bleachers, hallways, and lobbies). </li><li>Assists in building supervision and maintenance for building usage; completing necessary duties and reporting for groups using the facility </li><li>Responsible for skate sharpening </li><li>Assists with public skating (ticket sales, skate rental, skate guard) </li><li>Supervises other temporary part-time staff in the absence of full-time employee </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older. </li><li>Must be able to work evenings (through 11:00 pm) and weekend hours. Some scheduled shifts may include holidays. </li><li>Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, often independently. </li><li>Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have good communication skills </li><li>Related work experience is desired (ice resurfacing), but not required. Training tools will be provided to ensure success for the right candidate. </li></ul> <p>Seasonal, temporary and non-regular employees are not eligible for benefits.</p>
