<p>Join us as Equities Risk Business Analyst at Barclays and contribute to the development of our innovative equity derivatives risk platform. This role provides an ideal opportunity to support a revenue-generating trading desk. You will be assisting in the delivery of solutions for real-time risk analytics, P&L oversight, and regulatory reporting. As a key liaison between traders, quants, and developers, you will play a vital role in enhancing a mission-critical platform, while supporting Barclays' guidance in equity derivatives. If you excel in a fast-paced environment and are eager to tackle inquires at the intersection of technology and finance, this role is for you.</p> <p>To be successful as an Equities Risk - Business Analyst, you should:</p> <ul> <li>Solid experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within equity derivatives or capital markets </li><li>Considerable understanding of risk mitigation concepts, P&L metrics, and basic equity derivatives products (e.g., options, futures) </li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports </li><li>Assessing skills to support the resolution of business and functionality issues </li><li>Ability to assist in guiding project timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications </li></ul> <p>Some other highly valued skills may include:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with equity derivatives trading workflows, including pre- and post-trade processes </li><li>Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholder engagement with traders, quants, and technology teams </li><li>Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements in capital markets </li><li>Understanding of business process modelling and documenting workflows </li><li>A focused and results-oriented mindset with experience of supporting projects from concept to delivery in multi-faceted environments </li></ul> <p>You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.</p> <p>This role is based on our New York, NY office.</p> <p>Minimum Salary: $125,000</p> <p>Maximum Salary: $170,000</p> <p>The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.</p> <p>Purpose of the role</p> <p>To provide frontline support and useful resources to departments and colleagues across the bank with everyday IT problems, issues and requests.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Provision of high-quality support and problem-solving capabilities through various communication channels to resolve specific technology issues related to products and applications, ensuring that the relevant stakeholders are updated on progress. </li><li>Development of reports and dashboards to visualise and communicate key findings and recommendations for improvement to team leads and relevant stakeholders. </li><li>Management of user requests including password resets, software installation, access provisioning and equipment troubleshooting. </li><li>Collection and maintenance of incidents, requests and resolutions to access trends, identify common issues, track services metrics. </li><li>Maintenance of a knowledge base containing documentation of resolved cases for future reference and self-service opportunities. </li><li>Execution of assessments to establish the severity and urgency of reported issues to support the prioritisation process. </li><li>Development and provision of user training on applications, systems and equipment to enhance experience and self-sufficiency. </li></ul> <p>Assistant Vice President Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues. </li><li>Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. </li><li>Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done. </li><li>Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function. </li><li>Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. </li><li>Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively. </li><li>Communicate complex information.
