Start your Voyage - Apply Now</p> <p>Company Background</p> <p>Pomona Capital is a $19.3B global private equity firm headquartered in New York City specializing in secondary, primary and co-investment transactions. The firm seeks an Operations Analyst to assist with various operational responsibilities in connection with its publicly registered investment company. This position will provide exposure to many facets of the business and is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone with a willingness and desire to learn. In May of 2015, Pomona Capital launched Pomona Investment Fund ("PIF" or the "Fund"), a 1940 Act registered investment company. The Fund provides accredited investors with access to private equity investing via a wealth management advisor - RIA or broker dealer.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with Fair Value determination of the Fund's portfolio of underlying private equity investments in accordance with the Fund's valuation policies and procedures. </li><li>Ensure the accurate and timely processing of capital calls paid to and distributions received from PIF's underlying holdings. </li><li>Coordinate with the Fund's sub-administrator, custodian, and other critical service providers and vendors to ensure the timely and accurate payment of Fund's expenses including the maintenance of weekly expense packages. </li><li>Review daily reconciliation of the Fund's custodial and brokerage accounts. </li><li>Manage the Fund's response to requests for information that are received from the underlying private equity sponsors with which it invests. </li><li>Support the Fund's marketing efforts through updating marketing collateral, obtaining compliance approval of such collateral, and liaising with the Fund's distributor in the use of marketing documents. </li><li>Assist in preparation and review of the Fund's SEC filings. </li><li>Perform scheduled and ad hoc internal reporting including portfolio performance reporting. </li><li>Provide support in the review and processing of investor subscription and tender offer activity, investor statements, purchase confirmations, and account maintenance confirmations. </li><li>Assist the team in the review of tax structures associated with prospective investment transactions to ensure compliance with a variety of IRS mandated guidelines. </li><li>Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data and create meaningful reports to lead business improvement. </li></ul> <p>Experience and Skills</p> <p>The ideal candidate would have the following experience:</p> <ul> <li>2 - 4 years of experience in public accounting with focus on alternative investments, fund accounting and/or fund operations experience at a private equity firm or hedge fund. </li><li>A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP for investment companies is required. </li><li>Experience with SEC reporting requirements for the 1940 Act registered investment companies is preferred but not required. </li><li>Experience with Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital Funds, Private Credit Funds, and/or other alternative investments is preferred. </li><li>Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or business management. </li></ul> <p>The ideal candidate will have the following skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong work ethic, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and resourcefulness. </li><li>Solid understanding of financial statements. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. </li><li>Team player. </li><li>Self-starter and the ability to work independently and responsibly with limited supervision. </li><li>General understanding of and interest in private equity and financial markets. </li></ul> <p>Compensation Pay Disclosure:</p> <p>Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.</p> <p>The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.</p> <p>Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
