<p>Summer Enrichment Bilingual EL Aide (part-time) JobID: 3600</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Paraprofessional/Paraprofessional</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/20/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Elementary - Missituk</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Bilingual English Learner (EL) Aide</p> <p>Summer 2025 - June 30 - July 24, 2025</p> <p>Nature and Scope:</p> <ul> <li>Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced by licensed staff in EL classrooms </li><li>Provides/adjusts EL classroom activities under the direction of the classroom teacher </li><li>Monitors student work and aids students with meeting content based learning objectives and supports students with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills </li><li>Collaborate and communicate with the classroom teachers, building administration and EL director to ensure ELs receive language support </li><li>Performs assigned supervision of EL students as directed by the classroom teacher or principal during class time, lunch periods, recess and on field trips </li><li>May substitute for absent teachers in the EL program </li><li>Performs clerical tasks, classroom tasks, and instructional duties as assigned by licensed staff. </li><li>Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community </li><li>Performs other duties as they pertain solely to the EL classrooms and EL students as requested by the building administration or EL director </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent, Baccalaureate degree preferred </li><li>Experience working with newcomer EL students as well as other levels of English proficiency </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents and administrators </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to excellence, equity, and high expectations for all students with an emphasis on building on the strengths that students bring to the teaching/learning process </li><li>Excellent written and oral communications skills in English </li><li>Proficiency in a language other than English (Arabic, Haitian Creole, Portuguese or Spanish preferred) </li></ul> <p>Dates/Hours:</p> <ul> <li>$26 per hour </li><li>Program Start Date: Monday, June 30, 2025 </li><li>Program End Date: Thursday, July 24, 2025 </li><li>The program is Mondays through Thursdays </li><li>Hours/Days 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. </li><li>16 Days at 3.5 hours per day </li><li>Total: 56 Hours </li><li>$1,456; pending Title III grant funding </li></ul>
