<p>Applications to be submitted by May 22, 2025 Compensation Grade: P23 Compensation Details: Minimum: $86,019.00 - Maximum: $86,019.00 Annually Department (OHEHR) AI - AIDS Institute Job Description: Responsibilities The Health Program Coordinator I (HPC I) will coordinate reporting of HIV diagnoses by New York State providers within the HIV Surveillance unit, Bureau of HIV/AIDS Epidemiology (BHAE). New York Public Health Law requires that healthcare providers report all new HIV diagnoses for New York State residents to the New York State Department of Health. The incumbent will ensure accurate and timely submission of Medical Provider HIV/AIDS and Partner/Contact Report Forms (DOH-4189 and DOH 4189-A) and compliance with New York Public Health Laws and reporting regulations. The incumbent will provide oversight for delinquent reporting of HIV diagnoses by providers, coordinate provider education efforts, and the internal provider training curricula for HIV surveillance staff; develop and maintain external training curricula for providers on how to appropriately report HIV diagnoses for New York State residents; and coordinate all web-based HIV reporting guidance for providers. The HPC I will establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; coordinate and oversee data collection, and provide oversight for the monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of provider reporting data for individuals diagnosed with HIV in New York State; supervise staff to support programmatic goals related to HIV surveillance; and perform other related duties. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in program coordination in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an associate degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. A master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of issues related to the provision of services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Experience interacting with medical providers to achieve program goals. Experience conducting interviews in public health (TB, STI or HIV disease intervention specialist) settings. Experience working with confidential data. Experience with Excel and Access databases. Experience in public health surveillance, HIV/AIDS surveillance, and/or statistical analysis. At least one year of staff supervision. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
