Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County. </p> <p>Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $30.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position will be assigned to the NC Community Colleges System. This position is located at 200 W. Jones St, Raleigh, NC 27603.</p> <p>The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with the Executive Director of State Board Relations to coordinate monthly State Board meetings, meeting planning and event coordination, and administrative functions. This includes agenda development, meeting minutes, posting public meeting materials, and coordinating with staff to collect and publish materials in a timely manner. The position is responsible for managing travel, travel reimbursements, budget reporting, ordering supplies, catering coordination, and meeting scheduling for the State Board Affairs office and State Board of Community Colleges, which includes event planning and travel logistics. The position is responsible for serving as the clerk for the State Board of Community Colleges Committees as well as serving as backup for other clerks and the Executive Director of State Board Relations.</p> <p>The position has regular contact with members of the State Board of Community Colleges, community college Presidents, System Office administrators, and the public to provide information regarding State Board activities and meeting information. The position is primarily on weekdays between 8am-5pm but could include some evenings.</p> <p>NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.
