We build effective partnerships with co-workers throughout the College by freely sharing appropriate information and providing assistance to all and maintain an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Compensation: $28 per hour, part-time (19.75 hours per week).</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain Graduate Specific Studios in Tower, Kennedy, and North </li><li>Administer studio surveys when needed and assign studio spaces </li><li>Administer and manage studio use agreements each semester </li><li>Maintain shared spaces on T4 and Art Ed designated making space/lockers </li><li>Provide assistance implementing procedures and maintain safety guidelines </li><li>Assist in the management of MassArt x SoWa and Grad Doran Gallery exhibitions </li><li>Support install/deinstall of exhibitions and upkeep of gallery supplies </li><li>Implement studio access schedules when needed in collaboration with other campus SMs </li><li>Assist with materials organization/ordering for graduate courses in collaboration with faculty and Associate Dean of GR/PCE </li><li>Plan/coordinate Graduate Program events in collaboration with others </li><li>Project manage as needed for special projects </li><li>Monitor Graduate Studios and assist managers as needed </li><li>Assist with scheduling spaces for events on campus as well as student studios </li><li>Other duties as needed/directed in support of the success of Graduate Programs </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in an academic, arts, or studio management setting.</p> <p>Experience working in studio environments, galleries, or arts administration preferred.</p> <p>Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. </li><li>Knowledge of studio safety procedures and best practices. </li><li>Familiarity with exhibition installation and deinstallation processes. </li><li>Proficiency in basic project management, event coordination, and materials ordering. </li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and administrators. </li><li>Comfortable working independently while maintaining attention to detail. </li><li>Experience with space scheduling and studio assignments is a plus. </li><li>Ability to lift and move materials related to studio maintenance and exhibition installation. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <p>Must be available to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.</p> <p>Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible studio and gallery environment.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Please note MassArt:</p> <ul> <li>Does not support employment-based visa sponsorship or non-student exchange visitor visa sponsorship. </li><li>Is not an E-Verify institution. </li></ul> <p>Selected candidates must be eligible to work in the US at the time of employment, complete all onboarding tasks including a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background review and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US by completing the Form 19, Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.</p> <p>You are required to show proof of your identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of the start of your employment.
