Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Plan Examiner II will perform specialized and technical plan review and examination of new, remodel, and repair plans for commercial buildings.</p> <ul> <li>Document substantial conformance with adopted building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, land development, and accessibility codes. </li><li>Ensure that all commercial construction plans comply with the minimum requirements as indicated in the adopted codes. </li><li>Review commercial construction plans and signs. </li><li>Draft and prepare technical review comments. </li><li>Attend and participate in Early Assistance meetings and Plan Review Status meetings. </li><li>Meet with staff, designers and customers regarding projects. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires an Associate's Degree </li><li>Minimum of four (4) years of related experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>Required to obtain ICC Commercial and Residential Building Plans Examiner certification within 1 year of hire </li><li>A valid driver's license is required.
