<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Transport and provides supervision to inmate workers assigned to yard detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts inmate counts.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as first responder.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure classrooms are set-up as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspects, maintains and completes the appropriate forms for the state vehicles that are assigned to the academy.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts monthly hazardous chemical inventory.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and manages bed rosters for student residents, issues and/or receives dorm keys and ensures dorm rooms are inspected and cleaned on a weekly basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Submit commissary orders to the supervisor on a monthly basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts weekly safety and sanitation inspections of the buildings and grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors students' compliance with the training academy rules and agency rules.</p> </li><li> <p>Generates daily inmate worker assignment roster.</p> </li><li> <p>Other related duties as needed and assigned by the supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>This position is 2nd shift, work hours are 10am to 6pm.</p> </li></ul> <p>Resume is requested, but not required.</p> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant experience.
