<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Financial Analyst - COLUMBIA Construction</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2026-19178</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 1</p> <p>Category: Accounting/Finance</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Program Finance department serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and achieving bottom-line results.</p> <p>This position, located at the Groton, CT Shipyard Facility, supports the COLUMBIA Construction Program Finance team.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Performance measurement and variance analysis; including Cost Account Plans </li><li>Communication with Cost Account Managers and department Directors </li><li>Create and update daily, weekly, and monthly reports </li><li>Estimate at Complete development </li><li>Budget development and maintenance </li><li>Preparation of cost reports to support both internal and external customers </li><li>Manpower Plan and Operating Plan development </li><li>Shop order control </li><li>Preparation of billing instructions for submittal to Cash Management </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint </li><li>Must be interested in and capable of analyzing large sets of data with minimal supervision </li><li>Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with others </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Mathematics </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of related experience </li><li>Prior Electric Boat employment or internship </li><li>Experience with Earned Value Management </li><li>Experience with Power BI </li></ul>
