Valley Blvd. Unit #100, San Gabriel, CA 91776</p> <p>Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Southern California Heart Center (SCHC) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional cardiac care. As an MA, you'll support both clinical and administrative functions, including: interviewing patients, taking vital signs, performing EKGs and cardiac monitor hookups, and assisting with tasks such as insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and appointment scheduling.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Assist physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing clinical and administrative duties under the direction of a physician </li><li>Clinical duties may include measuring vital signs, performing EKGs, hooking up heart monitors, and performing medication reconciliations </li><li>Administrative duties may include insurance eligibility verification, medical report transcription, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other clerical duties </li><li>Advanced clinical opportunities include work as a stress technician, EKG interpreter, patient liaison, and supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>One or more years of experience working as a Medical Assistant </li><li>Must possess a current Medical Assistant certification (CMA) </li><li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Proficiency with computers and EMR systems </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>You're Great for This Role If You Have:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish </li><li>Prior Cardiology experience </li></ul> <p>Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>This is an on-site position at Southern California Heart Center located at 506 W. Valley Blvd, Suite 100, San Gabriel, CA 91776. </li><li>The target pay range for this role is $20-$22/hr.
