This position coordinates and performs the duties of technicians in the field of electronics and, or, electronic component system.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Act as lead worker in conducting and performing technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic component systems, electronic recording, monitoring or measuring devices, and other electronic equipment and devices. </li><li>Perform duties of technician particularly in more difficult and technical areas. </li><li>Coordinate shop and field repair work to be performed. </li><li>Maintain technical records and reports of maintenance and repairs. </li><li>Conduct tests of electronic equipment to evaluate performance and recommend corrective procedures. </li><li>Provide assistance to technicians in the interpretation and performance of technical problems and procedures. </li><li>Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for technicians. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: High school graduate.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of technical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Technical training in electronics or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional technical experience will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Work is typically performed in an office and/or electronic shop.</p> <p>Probationary Period</p> <p>This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.</p> <p>If you have questions about this advertisement, please contact Tim East at Tim.east@ky.gov or .</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D</p>
