<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The William M. Lasky School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting beginning in August 2026.</p> <p>The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate accounting courses, with topics that include auditing, advanced accounting, cost accounting, individual and corporate income tax, government and not-for-profit accounting, and data analytics. The position also includes contributing to the direction and continued development of the accounting program on campus and the MBA program online, with responsibilities such as course design, student advising, support of the accounting program administration, and service to the university.</p> <p>Faculty members are expected to maintain active professional engagement through scholarship and service while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative learning environment.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A terminal degree in accounting is preferred, but candidates with an applicable master's degree (MAcc, MSA, or MBA) a professional credential (CPA, CMA, or CGMA) and relevant work experience will also be considered.</p> </li><li> <p>A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards.</p> </li><li> <p>An accounting specialization, with auditing and forensic accounting being most preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Professional or industry experience in accounting, auditing, or taxation is highly desirable.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior university-level teaching and research experience are preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work inclusively with a diverse student and faculty community.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Norwich University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a positive education and work environment that recognizes and respects the dignity of all students, faculty and staff.
