<p>Under the general direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle, provides managerial oversight and technical support for ambulatory coding and charge capture functions.</p> <p>Responsible for insuring accurate diagnosis and procedure coding as well as providing documentation and coding related feedback and educational services to providers.</p> <p>Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills required.</p> <p>Previous supervisory experience required.</p> <p>A minimum of three to five years coding experience (ICD-9-CM, CPT) in an ambulatory facility required. Comprehensive knowledge of CPT coding methodologies and regulatory requirements a must.</p> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with the medical staff.</p> <p>Demonstrated leadership skills required.</p> <p>Ability to converse with physicians regarding coding and documentation.</p> <p>Ability to plan, write and deliver training materials specific to coding/documentation matters.</p> <p>Proficiency in PC "Office" applications required.</p> <p>Education: Associate Degree required, BA Preferred.</p> <p>Experience (Type & Length): 5 or more years in Ambulatory or Hospital outpatient setting;</p> <p>Certification/Licensure: CPC required. Member of AAPC or AHIMA Required.</p> <p>Software/Hardware: Experience and familiarity with electronic health record systems.</p> <p>This is an on-site position located in West Bridgewater, MA</p>
