<p>Description:</p> <p>The Deli Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of deli operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of food services, restaurant management, and sales, coupled with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. The Deli Manager is expected to foster a positive work environment through effective coaching, training and development, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily deli operations, including food preparation, service, and customer interactions. </li><li>Manage and motivate a team of deli staff, providing coaching and training to enhance performance. </li><li>Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations. </li><li>Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking, to minimize waste and maximize profitability. </li><li>Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer service. </li><li>Monitor and analyze financial performance, including profit and loss (P&L) management, to achieve budgetary goals. </li><li>Create and manage employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict cleanliness standards. </li><li>Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent customer service. </li><li>Collaborate with the management team on marketing initiatives to promote deli offerings. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>3-5 years of experience in restaurant management or food services, with a focus on deli operations. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. </li><li>Working knowledge of inventory management and ordering procedures. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to coach and train employees. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. </li><li>General knowledge of computer literacy, including point-of-sale (POS) systems. </li><li>Valid Driver's License. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field. </li><li>Experience with profit and loss (P&L) management. </li><li>Experience with marketing and promotional activities. </li><li>ServSafe certification. </li></ul>
