Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Performs and processes medical digital images, position patients for exams, transports patients, and provides other routine assistance to radiology staff in a medical center by performing the following duties.</p> <p>Responsibilities/Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Acquires digital radiographic images as ordered by clinicians by use of x-ray machines </li><li>Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. </li><li>Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors </li><li>Acquires C-Arm films for epidural steroid injections </li><li>Enters applicable orders into the practice management system </li><li>Reviews for proper identification and quality check </li><li>Prepares digital imaging for reading by physicians </li><li>Transports patients from radiologic diagnostic procedures to exam room. </li><li>Uploads images to patient chart if necessary </li><li>Burns CD's requested by patient after release is obtained </li><li>Files films, discs and records if necessary </li><li>Maintains a clean workstation by sanitizing in between each patient and at the end of every shift </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Who you are:</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>ARRT Certification and Registration</p> </li><li> <p>Massachusetts State License</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to react calmly and effectively under stress</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and maintains effective and professional working relationships with patients, medical staff, coworkers and the public by displaying sympathy, tact and understanding</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a team player with a positive attitude, adjust to various personalities, work with a diverse population, demonstrating patience and professionalism</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes teamwork through collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Represents the clinic in a professional manner</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all patient issues</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures and other regulatory policies</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment</p> </li><li> <p>Medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology, telephone protocol and professional etiquette</p> </li><li> <p>Electronic medical systems is a plus, including Athena/Centricity, Medi-Tech and the like</p> </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent growth and advancement opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Dynamic environment</p> </li><li> <p>Access to a diverse network of practitioners</p> </li><li> <p>Broad infrastructure of tools and programs to enhance the employee experience</p> </li><li> <p>Competitive Compensation</p> </li><li> <p>Generous PTO</p> </li><li> <p>Benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.</p> </li></ul> <p>We are an equal-opportunity employer.
