All of our system institutions place strong emphasis on service - helping to build healthier, more educated communities in South Carolina and beyond.</p> <p>Advertised Job Summary</p> <p>The postdoctoral fellow will, in collaboration with the principal investigator, devote their time to providing leadership in research on NIH -funded studies focused on the early detection of autism and autonomic dysfunction in high-risk infants and children using multiple behavioral and physiological developmental indicators. This individual will assist with recruiting participants, organizing and providing training, conducting assessments, writing manuscripts, and grant applications, conducting relevant literature reviews, and making professional presentations. This position is established in support of expanded activities and projects.</p> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree prior to the start date in school, clinical, or experimental psychology or a related discipline, as well as advanced clinical and research training. </li><li>In-depth training in developmental assessment with infants and/or young children and their families is required and autism diagnostics is preferred. </li><li>Reliability on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>In-depth training in assessment with infants and young children with neurodevelopmental disorders; experience with statistical modeling; </li><li>Experience in scientific manuscript and grant writing; excellent written and spoken communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Job Close Date</p> <p>05/18/2026</p> <p>Special Instructions to Applicant</p> <p>Positions are advertised for a minimum of five (5) business days on our job website.
