EBCAP Head Start is seeking a dedicated Teacher Associate to join our mission of providing high-quality, nurturing educational experiences that prepare children for lifelong success.</p> <p>Why This Role Matters</p> <p>As a Teacher Associate, you'll be at the heart of our classroom community, working alongside talented educators to create transformative learning experiences for young children during their most critical developmental years. Every day, you'll witness the joy of discovery, support families in their parenting journey, and help build the foundation for school readiness and lifelong learning.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Create Meaningful Learning Experiences (40%)</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement engaging activities that spark curiosity in literacy, math, science, and social studies </li><li>Foster children's intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development using evidence-based approaches </li><li>Maintain a safe, welcoming classroom environment where every child thrives </li><li>Use individualized assessment to meet each child's unique needs and learning style </li></ul> <p>Partner with Families (25%)</p> <ul> <li>Build trusting relationships with families through open communication and respect </li><li>Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences that celebrate growth and address needs </li><li>Empower families to be active participants in their children's education </li><li>Participate in community recruitment events to expand access to quality early education </li></ul> <p>Support Classroom Excellence (25%)</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Teacher Lead to ensure smooth daily operations </li><li>Step into leadership roles when needed, guiding assistants and volunteers </li><li>Serve as a positive liaison with host programs and school personnel </li><li>Implement specialized therapeutic plans for children in our Kids Connect program </li></ul> <p>Grow Professionally (10%)</p> <ul> <li>Access 20+ hours of annual training and professional development </li><li>Work with a supportive team committed to excellence in early childhood education </li><li>Contribute to agency-wide initiatives that strengthen our community impact </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Education (one of the following):</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma/GED with 6 ECE credit hours and willingness to complete CDA within one year </li><li>Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Early Childhood </li><li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching experience in an early childhood setting </li><li>Passion for working with young children and their families </li></ul> <p>Special Qualities:</p> <ul> <li>Heart for supporting children with challenging behaviors </li><li>Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills </li><li>Ability to build trust and partnerships across diverse communities </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <p>Competitive Compensation & Comprehensive Benefits (Full-Time 30-40 hrs/week):</p> <ul> <li>Heavily subsidized medical and dental insurance (BCBSRI) </li><li>Supplemental vision coverage </li><li>Up to 3% retirement matching (403b) </li><li>Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability </li><li>Generous paid time off: vacation, holidays, personal days, and sick time </li><li>Tuition reimbursement to support your educational goals </li><li>Mileage reimbursement </li><li>Free agency-paid training and continuing education </li><li>Employee assistance program </li></ul> <p>Join Our Mission</p> <p>At EBCAP, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
