For more information, visit www.ChartwellsK12.com.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Chartwells at Decatur Community School Corp located in Greensburg, IN, is on the hunt for a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead our food service team across 4 schools, serving 1,800+ students with passion and precision. If you have a knack for managing P&L, creating mouth-watering menus that will entice student participation, and driving initiatives with a client-focused and detail-oriented approach, this is your chance to shine!</p> <p>In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving change and innovation, committed to growing our dining program to new heights. With a supportive team that includes 21 hourly associates, you'll work daytime hours (7am-4pm) in a Monday - Friday schedule ensuring compliance with NSLP guidelines.</p> <ul> <li>The best-qualified candidate will have an extremely hands-on approach and a willingness to jump in as needed. </li><li>Very client-focused, with strong client relationships and the ability to effectively engage with all stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>If you're a self-starter who thrives on innovation and excellence, and possess strong client relationship-building skills, we want you to join us and make a delicious difference in our students' lives. Together, let's create a dining program that not only nourishes but also inspires.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of up to 21 Chartwells frontline associates. </li><li>Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability. </li><li>Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization. </li><li>Own the annual budget and control costs optimally. </li><li>Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards. </li><li>Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of an Associate's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience. </li><li>Three plus years of foodservice management experience, prefers K12. </li><li>Strong knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred. </li><li>Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience. </li><li>Exceptional leadership and communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in computer skills. </li></ul> <p>Apply to Chartwells Schools today!</p> <p>Chartwells Schools is a member of Compass Group USA</p> <p>Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story</p> <p>Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
