<p>Senior Human Resources Generalist On site or Hybrid 2 3 days per week on site Salary 100 120K depending on qualifications Shared Medical Services Inc SMS is an Employee Owned Company and a leading national provider of advanced mobile imaging solutions MRI PETCT mammography As an ESOP company our employees are owners which means we think long term invest in our people and celebrate shared success We are adding this new Sr HR Generalist position to our Human Resources team at our corporate headquarters located in Cottage Grove WI to work closely with the Director of HR Talent Acquisition Manager and four HRTA Team professionals The ideal candidate will have 10 years of human resources experience with 2 3 mid sized employers 200 1000 employees and demonstrated progression in responsibility and expertise including navigating complex HR issues; overseeing recruitment benefits leave and payroll administration; and applying a strong working knowledge of employment laws Responsibilities of the Sr HR Generalist in collaboration with or as assigned by the Director of HR will include many of the following Employment Laws assist in ensuring SMS remains in compliance with Federal State and other applicable laws; complete required reporting such as EEO 1 and Vets 4212; collaborate with vendor to maintain a Non discrimination in Employment PlanEmployment Policies help maintain and improve Employee Handbook and other company policiesHR Information System HRIS serve as a go to for general system use and report creation; heavy involvement with new system implementation starting soonRecruitment work with Talent Acquisition Team on job postings interviews onboarding orientation and applicant tracking system ATSJob Assessment work with leaders throughout the company to ensure job descriptions remain accurate including essential functions and physical requirements of those functionsPayroll work with Payroll Specialist to improve efficiency timeliness and checks and balances throughout the processing cycle; serve as back up to Payroll SpecialistBenefits collaborate with Benefits Specialist to troubleshoot complex issues and to communicate benefit information for greater understanding and appreciation; oversight of Open Enrollment process; work with ESOP vendor on annual census eligibility and distribution process; maintain knowledge of ERISA requirements; review changes to plan documentsLeaves collaborate with Benefits Specialist to troubleshoot complex issues; ensure all leave related documents and correspondence are compliant and effective; serve as back up to Benefits SpecialistPerformance Management administer annual performance review process; provide training and support to ensure effectivenessDiscipline serve as back up to Director of HR in supporting company leaders dealing with performance issues and disciplinary actionsEmployee Relations answer questions investigate concernscomplaints collaborate with leaders apply company policies etcTraining and development participate with implementation of new learning management system LMS; collaborate with leaders throughout the company on continual improvement of training contentWorkers Compensation provide back up for claim submission and managementUnemployment Compensation provide back up for responding to requests for information; may represent company at unemployment hearingsCredentials provide back up for monitoring Team Members professional certifications licenses and other required credentialsStandard Operating Procedures SOPs ensure all HR department procedures are documentedIn addition to experience with many of the above we are looking for Intermediate level Excel skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSolid math and analytical skills; detail orientedStrong problem solving skillsGreat teamwork attitude with a willingness to get involved with anyall HR areas as neededAbility to maintain the confidentiality of private and sensitive informationAbility and willingness to travel out of state and overnight a few times per yearExcellent work historyCandidates with supervisory experience andor demonstrated leadership qualities are encouraged to apply Although SMS is in the healthcare space experience in unrelated industries such as construction or manufacturing especially with a mobile multi state workforce would also be a good fit This full time position offers a variety of benefits including Employee Stock Ownership Plan ESOP medical dental and vision insurance company paid life and disability insurance flexible spending accounts paid holidays paid time off PTO 401k with 4 company match in ESOP stock shares and a positive supportive teamwork environment</p>
