<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Employee Benefits Representative</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2025-14595</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 1</p> <p>Category: Human Resources</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Benefits Representative will support Electric Boats Benefits programs to ensure plan offerings are competitive and equitable to attract and retain talent. The ideal candidate will have experience in benefits strategy and administration, must be highly motivated, detail oriented, and able to work in a team environment.</p> <p>Primary functions of this position:</p> <ul> <li>Support benefits planning including open enrollment, benchmarking, and incentive program administration </li><li>Assist in the implementation and rollout of benefit initiatives </li><li>Assist with developing and delivering communications to educate and inform the workforce </li><li>Administer Electric Boat's benefit programs for salaried, hourly non represented and hourly represented employees and retirees </li><li>Interface with all levels of management, health care vendors and providers in order to integrate services andmaximizebenefit value to Electric Boat employees </li><li>Provide guidance to employees pension and retirement plan provisions including reconciliation of pension benefits </li><li>Evaluate the effectiveness andaffordabilityofbenefit programs through trend analysis, research and interface with vendors, GD corporate benefits and other key stakeholders </li><li>Make recommendations on health plan design and contribution strategy </li><li>Other projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail </li><li>Excellent oral and written skills </li><li>Managing Priorities </li><li>Detail Orientation </li><li>Gaining consensus </li><li>Accountability </li><li>Project Management </li><li>Strategic Thinking </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency </li><li>3+ years of benefits experience with increased responsibility </li><li>High level of proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, & MS PowerPoint </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Project management & data analysis </li></ul>
