Then the South Carolina Department of Social Services has the right job opportunity for you.</p> <p>Special Notice: This is a REPOST -- Previous applicants are still being considered and do not need to re-apply for this position.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The Adoptions Coordinator I under the general supervision of the Adoption Unit Program Coordinator II, assist with the running of the statewide adoption and subsidized legal guardianship and other associated programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans, coordinates, and implementation of recruitment and retention events coordinated by State Office Adoptions.</p> </li><li> <p>Community outreach to promote the need for kinship, foster, and adoptive homes that are streamlined to the agency's needs and core values.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with vender's and stakeholders to obtain needed supplies and resources that are used for the coordinated events within the set budget assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists and provides support to the Regional Permanency and Foster Home Licensing Offices regarding recruitment and retention events.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in meetings with the Regional Offices to discuss recruitment and retention events.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates with meetings with contracted providers to provide recruitment for kinship, foster, and adoptive homes.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and maintains the Adoptive Family database system in providing access to family files, ensuring families are current, and creating shells. Assists with assigning adoptive home studies to certified investigators.</p> </li><li> <p>Tracks and analyzes data from Adoption Family databases in order to provide input on statistics of approved adoptive homes, trends, and needs to improve agency processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Receives, reviews, and responds to all post-legal requests, i.e. Reunion Registry, request for finalized adoption records, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the backup to Certified Investigator certification process and statewide child recruitment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment, and data.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duties/services as directed.</p> </li><li> <p>Other job duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.</p> <p>Prefer child welfare experience.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>This application for employment with the SC Department of Social Services must be completed in its entirety.
