To learn more about the Division of Parks & Watercraft, please visit Ohio State Parks & Watercraft | Ohio Department of Natural Resources.</p> <p>Locations/Hours:</p> <p>Hocking Hills State Park (PN20057596): 19852 State Route 664, Logan, Ohio 43138, Hocking County, 1550 hours/fiscal year</p> <p>Jesse Owens State Park (PN20102328): 9499 N State Route 83, McConnelsville, Ohio 43756, Morgan County, 1800 hours/fiscal year</p> <p>Shawnee State Park (PN20052360): 4404 State Route 125, West Portsmouth, Ohio 45663, Scioto County, 1200 hours/fiscal year</p> <p>Burr Oak State Park (PN20052317): 10220 Burr Oak Lodge Road, Glouster, Ohio 45732, Morgan County, 1800 hours/fiscal year</p> <p>What you will do…</p> <ul> <li>Develop, plan & conduct interpretive & recreational programs for the general public & special interest groups; </li><li>Lead visitors on excursions into the park & other ODNR properties; </li><li>Plan & coordinate special events (e.g., workshops, community festivals); </li><li>Coordinate volunteers related to educational programs; </li><li>Perform public relations & marketing activities. </li><li>Starting hourly pay of $21.97/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $26.72/hr. </li></ul> <p>UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Works outside exposed to weather, poisonous reptiles or infectious animal bites, & scratches & unpleasant odors; travels overnight.</p> <p>18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in preparing &/or presenting educational materials concerning wildlife & plants; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations; valid driver's license.</p> <ul> <li>Or completion of associate degree core coursework in natural sciences (e.g., biology, botany, zoology); valid driver's license. </li><li>Or 12 mos. exp. as Naturalist Aide, 22540; valid driver's license. </li><li>Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Natural Resources, Technical Skills: Parks and Recreation, Professional Skills: Presenting, Customer Focus</p>
