<p>Summary:</p> <p>Provides comprehensive administrative and technical support to the Risk Control staff and department. Maintains department workflow dashboard to ensure uninterrupted and successful operations of the department in the delivery of products and services to customers, agents, underwriters and claims adjusters. In addition, this position prepares and presents advanced risk analytical tools and solutions for Island's Senior management, internal customer service teams, agents and policyholders, to support a profitable business relationship for all parties involved. The position also serves as the point of contact for customer indoctrination and training of Island-sponsored safety management subscription services. As the primary Medcor Health Navigation customer support and back-up coordinator, responsibilities encompass Injury Triage analysis and reporting, point person for all customer inquiries and coordination related to the onboarding of new clients, presentations related to Medcor services, monthly reporting and the special handling of large accounts. The position requires critical thinking, logical reasoning, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple/unique tasks, exercise discretion and independent judgment, while comparing and evaluating possible courses of conduct and action for making a decision after various possibilities have been considered.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>Risk Analytics and Management (60%)</p> <ul> <li>Produces high-level risk analytics for Island's service teams (Underwriting, Risk Control & Claims) and for customers (Agents & Policyholders) to communicate loss trends, identified exposures, and recommended solutions to improve loss ratio metrics and profit potential for customer and company. Communicates effectively with all customers regarding the data elements used, its respective source, and application. </li><li>Processes and delivers customers' system-generated monthly loss reports. </li><li>Collaborates with IT, Business Analysis, and Project Management teams to troubleshoot, recommend and build enhancements to the department's production and workflow systems and the company's enterprise system for data mining of loss reports using its analytics queries e.g., loss ratio targets, class of business, etc. </li><li>Supports the Risk Control team and Commercial Underwriters in the tracking and monitoring of loss exposures threats utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) analytics tools. </li><li>Manages a portfolio of small businesses to provide scheduled loss updates and safety information to support improved customers' loss experience and help reduce risk exposure. </li><li>Serves as the primary contact for internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to the Risk Control department. </li></ul> <p>Training and Customer Support (20%)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Researches, creates, and delivers safety and risk management training packages and support materials for customers, Risk Control Consultants, Underwriting, and Agency units to market Island's Risk Control services.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides systems training to new hire Risk Control Consultants, to various programs such as Guidewire, ImageRight, WPC, Agency Portal, SharePoint, and other programs as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as Medcor Health Navigation customer support and back-up coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Reviews/analyses injury triage reports. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Highlights training opportunities for Medcor Triage staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides customer support and general troubleshooting for Policyholders/Agents/Claims.</p> </li><li> <p>Generates monthly reporting for all accounts of call summaries, loss runs, and special handling needed for Island large accounts.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists Coordinator with onboarding new clients, administering questionnaires, conducting training, quarterly presentations for claim reviews, budgeting, maintenance of Medcor supplies, annual stewardship meeting, and evaluation of overall services.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the point of contact for indoctrination, training, maintenance, and trouble calls for Resource Subscription Services (Safety Source, Telematic Vendors: Azuga and Samsara) provided to Island's customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides back-up assistance for CoreLogic Building Valuation Software program.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the back-up point person for the Risk Control Manager. Answers customer and agency inquiries if able to, or directs call to available Consultant.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the Risk Control SharePoint Home Page and Risk Control Teams Channel to keep it current with relevant and up-to-date information.</p> </li></ul> <p>Administrative and Project Support (20%)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serves as department representative for internal department audits to produce necessary reports and answer auditor's inquiries.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers department's workflow management system to track service requests, balance staff workload, and manages department production stats.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as Department's Representative for Guidewire project in the merger of the Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Business Auto lines for the Accident Loss Reports. Leads testing related to all impacted reports and documentation of discrepancies.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares cost-benefit analysis to justify department project requests and present proposals to department, division, and senior management leadership as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides broad-based administrative tasks to keep department operating at maximum efficiency. Such duties include but are not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>processing invoices and payments <p></p> </li><li> <p>monitoring and replenishing office supply needs and requisitions</p> </li><li> <p>scheduling maintenance of department field equipment (slip meter, noise dosimeter, light meter, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>processing and distributing staff and department mail</p> </li><li> <p>packaging claims kit tools for customers</p> </li><li> <p>other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts file purging based on schedule of record retention and destruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Possesses a positive, service-oriented attitude toward agencies, insureds, and employees within the company.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate or Bachelor's degree in business-related field required. </li><li>Advanced training in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access Database. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training required. </li><li>Continuing education in insurance and job related issues and subjects required. </li><li>An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience will be considered. </li></ul>
