<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Greets patient utilizing AIDET, verifies patient in identification, reviews chart for proper radiation treatment parameters and physician prescriptions </li><li>Informs patients and families about the treatment process and answers questions </li><li>Prepares patients for treatment. Positions equipment according to plan </li><li>Takes portal films or IGRT scans to ensure treatment protocols are accurately set up and followed </li><li>Verifies proper dosage of ionizing radiation for patient as prescribed by physician </li><li>Monitors patient throughout treatment process by checking video monitors and intercom </li><li>Informs physician anytime patient experiences distress or side effects related to treatment process </li><li>Records each patients' treatment in EMR and proper notes for accurate treatment and set-up </li><li>Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the filed by reading appropriate journals, books, and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and education opportunities </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Satisfactory completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program </li></ul> <p>Licenses & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>ARRT (T) boards completion within in 6 month of hire </li><li>BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of linear accelerators and record and verify systems </li><li>Ability to operate radiation therapy equipment </li><li>Ability to manage patients </li><li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions </li></ul> <p>HelloImaging ImagingNebraska #MissionCritical #LI-CHI</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care.
