Delivers exceptional service in high-volume, fast-paced environments while collaborating closely with banquet managers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless event execution with a friendly and professional demeanor.</p> <p>This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00</p> <p>Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.</p> <p>This position will remain open until July 24th, 2026.</p> <p>About the Venue</p> <p>Serving more than 200,000 people annually, Marcus Performing Arts Center (MPAC) brings a diverse range of celebrated performing arts to the region, including:</p> <ul> <li>Tony Award-winning Broadway shows. </li><li>Exceptional music, dance, and theatre events from artists in Milwaukee and around the world. </li><li>Exciting community events & celebrations. </li><li>Fun, educational experiences for young audiences. </li><li>Private events, like weddings and meetings. </li></ul> <p>A fixture in Milwaukee for over 50 years, MPAC is home to four major resident companies: Black Arts MKE, First Stage, The Florentine Opera, and Milwaukee Ballet. MPAC is proud to be part of the Milwaukee Theater District as well as a dedicated War Memorial facility, honoring those who bravely served our country.</p> <p>From our world-class performances to inspiring community events, we hope your experience at the Marcus Performing Arts Center leaves you feeling transported and transformed.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Read and understand Banquet Event Orders. </li><li>Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with DLTCC standards of service. </li><li>Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met. </li><li>Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with DLTCC standards of service. </li><li>Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations. </li><li>Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner. </li><li>Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items. </li><li>Work independently during slower times. </li><li>Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred. </li><li>Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray. </li><li>Ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays. </li><li>Must be detail-oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete. </li><li>Ability to multitask. </li><li>Must have a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude. </li><li>Ability to read with oral and written communications skills. </li><li>Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). </li><li>Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often. </li><li>Must be punctual with consistent attendance. </li><li>Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies. </li></ul> <p>Strengthened by our Differences.
