<p>Overview The Lead Traffic Coordinator will communicate effectively with customers to ensure that deliveries are on time to meet the needs of our customers. The Lead Traffic Coordinator will be responsible to provide direction to the Traffic Coordinators. This position reports to the on duty Supervisor or Operations Manager depending on facility. Responsibilities Receive all drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments Assign trailers to shipments Promote efficiencies through optimal trailer placement location Using a warehouse management system, systemically open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight Ensure all drivers depart with appropriate paperwork Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures Gather, enter and maintain into warehouse management system all data and records relative to shipping activities. Resolve any discrepancies such as data entry errors, carrier code issues, wrong commodity codes, missing trailers and trailers checked in incorrectly Audit trailer yard, comparing actual trailer inventory to YMS and WMS. Provide daily reports of accuracy and summary of corrective actions taken. File all outbound paperwork so that it is easily accessible when needed. Maintain seal log accurately with necessary information Maintain the load board with accurate information Handle email traffic to and from the customer Send Bills of Lading (BOL's) to the customer on a routine basis Coordinate shift schedules related to PTO time for traffic coordinator staff with management guidance Will act as main point of contact for any related traffic issues Maintain shift turnover reports Assure safety requirements are maintained Perform other projects and duties as assigned. Schedule/ Shift: Sunday-Thursday 5:00 am- 4:00 pm Qualifications Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and yard management System (YMS) preferred Strong PC skills along with working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Good visual acuity to inspect shipments Good finger dexterity to input data into inventory records Ability to input data on computer to create a daily inventory report Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, not required Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations Requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed Must be able to sit for up to 10-12 hours We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $19.00/HOUR.
