<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent. </li><li>Associates Degree preferred. </li><li>Experience working with elementary age students desirable. </li><li>First Aid/CPR certification desirable. </li><li>Experience with students with disabilities required. </li><li>Able to work collaboratively with colleagues. </li><li>Experience working with students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges. </li><li>Good organizational and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to follow teacher direction. </li><li>Requires patience and flexibility. </li><li>Ability to interact and take direction from a variety of professionals. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assist classroom teacher and/or special education teacher in implementing accommodations and/or modifications for students requiring such supports. </li><li>Assist general and special education teachers in collecting data on student progress. </li><li>Collaborate with other staff in implementing behavioral intervention plans, as needed. </li><li>Support student independence through the acquisition of skills and strategies. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned by the building principal or superintendent.
