In short, We Enable Possibility?.</p> <p>The Position</p> <p>The Director, Actuarial Pricing will assist in pricing and underwriting a book of North American P&C reinsurance. Lines supported will include GL, Auto, Umbrella, WC, Property, and Professional Lines. The individual will be a member of the actuarial team and will assist in coordinating all stages of the pricing and underwriting process. This position requires a thorough knowledge of actuarial modeling techniques as well as being pro?cient in MS Excel.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assess and analyze reinsurance treaties (quota share, excess of loss, aggregate, structured, multi-year and others) with actuarial techniques </li><li>Structure terms and assure pro?tability of business written </li><li>Contributing to LOB studies and assumption/parameter updates including developing ownership and expertise over a subset of lines that ARC writes </li><li>Develop and enhance pricing tools/models </li><li>Performing underwriting audits of client ?les </li><li>Report and present work including trend studies, rate monitoring and ad hoc requests from senior management </li><li>Frequent contact with underwriting, claims, and ?nance departments </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills/ Experience</p> <ul> <li>FCAS, ACAS or near completion level or equivalent designation </li><li>8+ years of applicable actuarial experience </li><li>Reinsurance experience a strong plus but not required </li><li>Pro?cient in MS Excel, and an ability to create pricing tools to support day-to-day underwriting work ?ow. Programming skills (e.g. Python, R, SQL) a plus </li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize a demanding workload </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communicate on skills and the ability to work with management at a senior level </li><li>Some travel and the ability to work overtime as needed is expected for this position </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>College or university degree, preferably with a quantitative major </li></ul> <p>#LI-LH1</p> <p>#LI-hybrid</p> <p>For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.</p> <p>$210,000 - $260,000/year</p> <ul> <li> <p>Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
