This role fosters inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and innovation through engaging, hands-on lessons that connect academic content to real-world applications. The teacher creates a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, collaboration, and academic growth in a supportive environment.</p> <p>DUTIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and implement daily lesson plans that integrate STEM disciplines and align with state and national standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Create project-based learning experiences that encourage problem-solving, experimentation, and application of STEM concepts.</p> </li><li> <p>Use instructional technology and digital tools including TechSmart, Google Classroom, and robotics software to enhance learning and student engagement.</p> </li><li> <p>Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and advanced learners.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that supports student voice and collaboration.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in professional development activities and collaborate with colleagues to advance STEM integration across the curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a positive role model and support the school's mission, vision, and core values.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements in middle grades science and/or mathematics.</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM field, or related area.</p> <p>SCHEDULING</p> <p>Working hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule is subject to change with district demands in compliance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.</p> <p>SALARY INFORMATION</p> <p>Please see attached PN Agreement at https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/803/North_Greene_Unit_District_3/2371030/Professional_Negotiations_Agreement-North_Greene_UD_3_2022-2025.pdf.</p>
