<p>Wareham High School is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer/Teacher to join our team for an anticipated opening. This unique position combines the responsibilities of an LATC-certified Athletic Trainer with a teaching role in any certifiable content area (grades 9-12). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adolescent development, excellent communication and technology skills, and a passion for supporting student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Serve as the Athletic Trainer, providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes. Teach two classes per day (four per semester) in a certifiable content area. Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with coaches, parents, and medical professionals to ensure athlete safety. Work after school hours and some weekends as required for athletic events and practices. Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall wellness. Utilize technology effectively in both athletic training and classroom instruction. Support student development by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.</p> <p>Delayed start time to accommodate after-school athletic responsibilities. Full-time position with benefits (teachers work year schedule).
