<p>Advertised Position Title:</p> <p>Instructor, Nursing</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The instructor for the Nursing Program will plan, direct and supervise the learning experiences of Registered Nursing and/or Practical Nursing students in the classroom, the nursing laboratory and the clinical setting relating to medical/surgical and geriatric experiences. The instructor will design and implement teaching strategies that will assist a nursing student to meet the course objectives or outcomes; supervise the activities of clinical/lab instructors and evaluate each nursing student's achievement and progress with input from the clinical/lab instructor or preceptor.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Article 7 of the Owens Faculty Association Contract </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be familiar with the Ohio Board of Nursing rules and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Clinical practice skills within the last two years, must be familiar with new clinical practices within the scope of a registered nurse in a medical/surgical/geriatric unit(s).</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to communicate with students, faculty and administration. Good organizational and time management skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a positive personality, interact well with students, faculty and administration.
