If you are ready to create some magic, we invite you to explore our dynamic, yet unique, career opportunities.</p> <p>POSITION PURPOSE</p> <p>Provide direct and general supervision to the Environmental Services team in order to ensure effective and efficient environmental services while supporting Horseshoe St. Louis' vision, mission and values.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)</p> <ol> <li> <p>Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective supervision of department; adjust daily schedule according to business levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise cleaning and inspection of, buildings and structures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations, as well as state, local, and federal ordinance.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development and implementation of programs, processes and procedures to reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity and efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure facility is clean are maintained in a clean and safe operating order by providing environmental services.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</p> </li></ol> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated environmental services or housekeeping supervisor experience </li><li>Strong customer service skills and organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-up </li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and prioritize a heavy workload with competing priorities </li><li>Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts. </li><li>Excellent guest service and communication skills. </li><li>Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality. </li><li>Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. </li><li>Regular and punctual attendance is required. </li></ul> <p>These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in environmental services or housekeeping, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.</p>
