<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Compensation: Starting at $55,000-$60,000 annualized</p> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>The WebstaurantStore is the leading e-commerce website to meet the purchasing needs of food service professionals worldwide. WebstaurantStore, a Clark Associates company, is looking for proactive, detail-oriented candidates to join our growing company as a Logistics Specialist on our Outbound Transportation Team within our Logistics Department. The Logistics Specialist role focuses on finding creative solutions for our day-to-day needs along with process improvement to keep up with our rapid growth. Since 2020, The WebstaurantStore has doubled in size! This role plays a key part in growing our business to support our customers to run their businesses more efficiently and profitably.</p> <p>Remote Work Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks. </li><li>Access to a home router and modem. </li><li>A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible). </li><li>A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment. </li><li>The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc. </li><li>Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, and WY). </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>As a Logistics Specialist you will:</p> <ul> <li>Make and execute decisions regarding the delivery needs of customer orders </li><li>Manage relationships with transportation providers, vendors, Customer Service, and others to provide the best shipping experience for our customers </li><li>Proactively problem-solve and communicate with appropriate departments when transportation or customer service issues arise </li><li>Follow up on order and shipping errors to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction </li><li>Monitor key department metrics, including profitability, to identify opportunities for team improvement </li><li>Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure fast processing of orders </li><li>Evaluate current processes and suggest any appropriate improvements or strategic solutions to increase efficiency and better the customer experience </li><li>Ensure the smooth functionality of internal tools and systems to reduce friction in the outbound shipping process </li><li>Other tasks as assigned </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer. </li><li>Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. </li><li>Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. </li><li>Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. </li><li>Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Past industry experience is helpful but not required for this role. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>A college degree is preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>Desired Traits</p> <p>We are looking for driven, motivated candidates who are:</p> <ul> <li>Innovators who can share past examples of implementing process improvements that created time or cost savings in various settings </li><li>Able to think like an entrepreneur, challenging the status quo and having a drive for process improvement </li><li>Able to work autonomously to take initiative and ownership of complex problems to find creative solutions </li><li>Able to leverage data to support proposed solutions </li><li>Adept at communicating effectively with diverse audiences </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Able to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities </li><li>Able to balance desired business and customer outcomes </li><li>Team players who bring their unique perspective to enhance our inclusive culture </li><li>Able to flourish in a fast-paced, changing environment </li><li>Computer literate </li></ul> <p>Hiring Process</p> <p>Our team is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team.
