<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Load/unload or otherwise move inventory to/from trailers, rail cars, barges or warehouse floor through the use of overhead crane or other material handling equipment as specified according to work orders and by directive of supervision.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), Stand or Sit(Stationary position), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Repetitive Motion</p> <p>Function in the Job</p> <p>Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</p> <p>Job Function</p> <ul> <li>Document and report inventory location changes according to specified procedures. </li><li>Assemble customer orders according to work orders and procedures. </li><li>Document, tag & paint inventory received according to specified procedures. </li><li>Record pertinent material information on to work orders or other forms as specified by local procedure. </li><li>Special projects as specified by management. </li><li>Performance of other Warehouse or Processing / Maintenance Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work. </li><li>Adhere to all company safety policies & procedures to ensure a safe working environment. </li><li>Perform daily pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition; report and communicate any defects, concerns or maintenance needs. </li><li>Recognize and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions in the work area to supervision. </li><li>Maintain professional communication with other operators, supervisors, & departments as necessary to complete assigned tasks. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Experience in an industrial setting preferred</p>
