Eligibility and Employer Sponsored Plans can be found within each of the links offered.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <p>The primary purpose of this position is to provide expedient and professional maintenance to the students who live in residence halls, apartments, and fraternity/sorority houses on the campus of NC State.</p> <p>The main functions of this position are to construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in the residence halls, apartments, and fraternity/sorority houses for DASA Facilities.</p> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <p>Incumbent must be in good physical condition in order to lift and set heavy equipment, climb ladders, pull heavy rolls of wire, and other similar tasks.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Experience/Education</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification(s).</p> <p>Optional Guidelines: Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the area of assignment may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Considerable knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade. </li><li>Skill in the use and care of tools of the trade. </li><li>Ability to locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment. </li><li>Ability to read and work from blueprint s and sketches. </li><li>Ability to train apprentices in the electrical trade. </li></ul> <p>Required License or Certification</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's License. </li><li>Valid NC Driver's license within 60 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Valid NC Driver's License required Yes Commercial Driver's License Required? No</p>
