<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>PRN - covering hours 11a-9pm Monday thru Thursday</p> <p>Responsible for coordinating all consult, admission, transfer and/or pre-op activities. Additional duties may include (not limited to): ensure that the team and call schedules are coordinated and communicated to all appropriate parties; coordinate weekend assignments and admission order; answer patient call line assisting patients and families with post discharge needs; assign new business to appropriate teams from overnight business and add assigned teams in Cerner; calculate daily census.</p> <p>High School diploma or equivalent is required.</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program preferred. </li><li>Prior experience working in an admitting, bed management, patient placement/throughput setting, including demographic and financial requirements of payers preferred. </li><li>Requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with business partners. </li><li>Requires strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of staff; including physicians, hospital administration, patients, and nursing staff in a professional manner. </li></ul>
