Please apply immediately.</p> <p>Pay Grade: Coordinator 7</p> <p>The BOOST Grant is designed to provide intensive academic advisement, career development, tuition assistance, and other supports necessary to facilitate the success of program participants. The BOOST Grant Coordinator will ensure the successful management of the BOOST Grant by working closely with Wake Tech administrators, faculty, staff, advisors, and BOOST cohort students.</p> <p>Reporting to the Director of the Math and Science Care Team, the BOOST Grant Coordinator will provide general day to day oversight and successful delivery of a comprehensive program of academic, advisement, career and financial supports for program students. The coordinator will represent the Wake Tech's BOOST program on all relevant committees, within and outside of the college, developing and maintaining relationships that create buy-in and allow the program to operate successfully.</p> <p>This position will identify and recruit eligible students to the program, and will oversee the regular entry, analysis, and sharing of data related to the progress and success of participating students. The coordinator will oversee the program budget, daily scheduling of the BOOST program and its timely delivery of services to students.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the development and timely implementation of strategies and delivery of supports to improve retention, including interventions/academic supports for probation and at-risk students. </li><li>Identify and recruit eligible students into the program. </li><li>Create and manage program component delivery and data collection to ensure successful progress towards student engagement and program academic performance benchmarks. </li><li>Develop strategy and processes to reach enrollment targets. </li><li>Develop processes for program incentive distribution in coordination with appropriate college departments. </li><li>Develop strategies and mechanisms to increase FAFSA completion and reduce SAP/verification issues. </li></ul> <p>Establish points of contact within the college departments that are integral to programming including, but not limited to, admissions, records and registration, career services, and financial aid.</p> <p>Regularly attend required meetings with the NC BOOST/CUNY Replication staff.</p> <p>Prepare reports for the Care Team Director, Advising Dean, and ESS Vice President, and share outcomes each semester.</p> <p>Monitor the development of a comprehensive framework to provide opportunities for BOOST students to progress toward university transfer goals.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <p>Strong leadership skills and ability to manage change and build productive teams</p> <p>Demonstrated budget oversight and planning experience</p> <p>Demonstrated successful program management experience, including strategy development</p> <p>Demonstrated understanding of community college student behaviors and student success needs</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop working relationships with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders</p> <p>Excellent organization, project management, communication, and facilitation skills</p> <p>Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office; Colleague/Datatel and Self Service</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree</p> <p>Three years related experience in advising, counseling, student development, grant management, or related field.</p> <p>Preferences:</p> <p>Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work</p> <p>As an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
