<p>ANNOUNCEMENT</p> <p>Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, non-exempt SWIC Educational Employee position of Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.</p> <p>POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p>In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is work bearing the primary responsibility for all shipping and receiving for the College and much of the College District. This position will utilize a high level of independent judgement to solve problems and be responsible for the execution of projects and associated processes in a centralized location ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator manages functions responsible for the efficient flow of goods in and out of sites such as shipping and receiving coordination, vendor relations and internal communications. Shipping and Receiving work involve manual labor and clerical duties on the receiving dock, in college storage areas, and to a lesser extent district-wide. Duties include packaging and organization of outgoing shipments; receipt, unpacking, storage and delivery of incoming shipments; data entry into the PeopleSoft Asset Management module as directed by Manager of Auxiliary Services/Inventory Control; maintenance of all shipping and receiving records; management of storage space; and equipment surveys. Responsible for the supervision of shipping and receiving personnel. Work requires the prompt and efficient discharge of duties with considerable discretion in organization and prioritization under general supervision. This position works under general direction and is given a broad scope and responsible for the development of processes to accomplish tasks and objectives.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ol> <li> <p>Associates degree in related field plus 3 years of related full-time work experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Required to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform work requiring physical exertion more than 50% of the time.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous supervisory experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Certified or willing to become and maintain certification to operate shipping and receiving equipment to include forklifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with record keeping preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>3 years' management experience in warehouse preferred.</p> </li></ol> <p>SALARY AND HOURS $38,178 annually.
