This role involves teaching academic content in both English and another language, ensuring that students meet educational standards while becoming proficient in both languages. Bilingual Teachers create and implement lesson plans, assess student performance, and collaborate with other educators and parents to support student success. Successful Candidate Hires are those whom we believe are committed to working in our district serving in any one of our schools and communities. Placement of 25/26 candidates will occur when specific vacancies have been identified.</p> <p>Employment with the district as a teacher in the Teacher Pool means the following:</p> <ul> <li>Position is full-time and works the same time days, times and calendar of teaching employees </li><li>Assignment will be made in a position outside of your license area based on district need (this could be long term or daily assignments, acting as building sub, etc.) and will work every day </li><li>Receive contract pay and benefits commencing the first day of employment under the collective bargaining agreement; will accrue system seniority </li><li>Be considered a 'priority hire' and offered contract positions within your license area before new hires to the district </li></ul> <p>Bilingual Teacher Qualifications & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Must have a bachelor's degree, or higher, in Educaton </li><li>Experience teaching in a bilingual or dual-language setting. </li><li>Proficiency in English and a second language (Spanish preferred) </li><li>Strong classroom management skills. </li><li>Ability to become licensed in the State of Ohio </li></ul> <p>Informaton from the Ohio State Board of Educatiton</p> <p>Out-of-State Licensure</p> <p>Candidates who completed an out-of-state licensure program should review the information on this page regarding Ohio's licensure requirements and the online application process. Candidates must submit the online application and all required documentation in order to begin the evaluation process and determine eligibility for an Ohio license.
