<p>Job description</p> <p>Heartland Express is growing and hiring; seeking professional individuals to join our team!</p> <p>Currently, we are seeking a DRIVER MANAGER for our North Liberty, IA facility for a full-time position with excellent benefits. M-F 7:30am to 5:30PM, every 3rd Saturday 7:30am to Noon.</p> <p>Primary Function</p> <p>Driver Managers are the core of our business, responsible for the day to day transportation operations, working directly with our professional drivers to ensure effective planning and execution of expectations for service excellence.</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Heartland Express customers represent the most successful businesses in the world. The top shippers in America depend on Heartland Express to improve business performance, deliver exceptional results to their customers, and drive overall value into their transportation supply chain.</p> <p>Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain driver relationships through the understanding of meeting the needs of the driver while weighing the expectations of the customer </li><li>Execute a timely and accurate exchange of data as it relates to driver availability, pre-planned load assignments, load assignments, and the service and tracking of company equipment. </li><li>Independent assessment to comply with all DOT regulations and hours of service rules and ability to incorporate those rules, effectively </li><li>Ensure fulfillment of fleet needs </li><li>Coordinate the scheduling of company equipment for repair and preventative maintenance </li><li>Provide support and collaborate; team efforts to develop, grow, and maximize utilization </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <p>Requirements for this position include:</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer familiarity and keyboard skills </li><li>Basic understanding of transportation terminology and DOT regulations </li><li>Knowledge of geography of the United States </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Organization skills </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, service driven environment </li><li>Good interpersonal skills </li><li>Positive Attitude </li></ul>
