The initial term contract is for a ten-month contract.</p> <p>The role involves teaching 15 credit hours per semester, planning instructional activities, advising students and maintaining training equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering technology, industry experience, and a commitment to professional development and community service. Assignments will include on-campus and may include online courses.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester. </li><li>Plan and carry out instructional activities. </li><li>Provide academic advising and assist with student recruitment, retention, and student outcome assessment. </li><li>Maintain records and report on student progress. </li><li>Keep abreast of technical changes in the field and update the program accordingly. </li><li>Participate in professional development activities, professional growth, and institutional service. </li><li>Engage in various departmental activities, including course development and evaluation, mentoring adjunct faculty, and participation in continuing education/community service. </li><li>Perform maintenance and minor repairs of training equipment </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in the discipline or related field </li><li>2 years of related work experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Additional Skills Requested:</p> <ul> <li>High attention to detail, independent, self-motivated, adaptable to fast-paced environments. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word). </li></ul> <p>Employee Rights - Employee Polygraph Protection Act</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is an equal educational and employment opportunity institution.</p>
