From sustainable transportation to advanced semiconductors, from satellite systems to life-saving medical devices, the next great leaps in human advancement will be powered by Ansys.</p> <p>Innovate With Ansys, Power Your Career.</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>ANSYS, Inc. seeks R&D Engineer II to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>The R&D Engineer II contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. </li><li>Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives. </li><li>Work under the general supervision of a development manager. </li><li>Access a complex codebase to develop software. </li><li>Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems. </li><li>Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. </li><li>Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions. </li><li>Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. </li><li>Write code to develop new Mechanical Addons/Extensions in Python, and to implement the new design, presenting the final product. </li><li>Develop prototypes for new Addons, designing software, collaborating with Product Management and Application Engineers. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study. </li><li>Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related position. </li><li>Work experience or academic coursework must have included: </li><li>Experience with C++, object-oriented design, computational engineering (FEA & CFD), and scripting languages through a Mechanical Engineer background; </li><li>Experience with software design and development methodologies including design patterns, SOLID principles and RESTful programming; </li><li>knowledge in code versioning tools including git or ADO; </li><li>Experience using engineering simulation software packages including Ansys Mechanical or similar; and </li><li>Experience with software design and development methodologies including Agile Product Development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development </li></ul> <p>Additional work location information; 2600 ANSYS Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317 and various unanticipated locations.
