<p>Operations Specialist assists other processors while working under limited supervision, answering questions from branch staff and other processors, researching and resolving both routine and complex problems. Follows established procedures in compliance with all relevant regulations. Receives approved equity line files from lenders. Completes, monitors, and reviews service orders including property valuation, flood determination, verifications, and ownership information as needed. Coordinates closing with Retail staff when processing is complete, prepares/updates equity line documentation including legal paperwork for customer signature, provides closing instructions, and coordinates and tracks legal documents to vendor for recording. Operations Specialist works under general supervision, answers questions/solving routine problems from branches, and customer service staff. Obtains and completes payoffs, processes loan applications in loan origination system. Handles other duties as requested.</p> <p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Accurately create documentation in compliance with regulations. Coordinate and track legal documents. Order, monitor and track services, including but not limited to property valuation, flood determination and ownership information. Review services and correct discrepancies when applicable. Review flood certification, and mail letters to customers. Ensure proper documentation is received/reviewed prior to closing (may include insurance binders), review scheduling calendar to confirm closings. </li><li>Manage daily printing/mailing of appraisal values. Must be able to prioritize tasks according to specifications set by manager. </li><li>Communicate with Retail on clear to close, closing dates, instructions, obtain payoff quotes. </li><li>Update loan origination system data and other system with accuracy and compliance. Maintains accurate and up to date notes in loan origination system for management reporting. </li><li>Maintains meticulous files, accuracy, and organization of loans to ensure expedition of closing process. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Works under general supervision of department supervisor and manager, and know when to seek assistance when needed </li><li>Advanced communication and negotiating skills are necessary to work in this fast-paced environment </li><li>Must be knowledgeable about Federal and State Consumer Lending regulations. </li><li>Familiar with all Consumer Lending products </li><li>Familiar with requirements of various appraisal and ownership scenarios. </li><li>Work on-site when necessary - once per week currently or as otherwise requested. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1 year banking experience preferred; solid working knowledge of the Home Equity Line of Credit product is preferred. </li><li>Experience processing consumer lending products preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Superior communication, organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills required </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Strong computer skills (Word - Excel) </li><li>Experienced in a fast-paced high-volume environment </li></ul>
