<p>Transportation Attendants (Floater), 5 days per week Monday - Friday, Working Hours (6:30am-8:30am & 2:30pm-4:30pm)</p> <p>Starting hourly rate 2025-2026 school year: $17.90</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To attend to the physical needs and monitor the behavior of students while they are</p> <p>being transported on a school conveyance.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current CPR Certificate </li><li>Basic knowledge of first aid </li><li>Ability to work with disabled children </li><li>Good physical condition </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Be able to remove any student from the bus in an emergency situation. </li><li>Become knowledgeable about particular handicaps and emergency treatment for them. </li><li>Assist bus driver in routine and emergency situations, including the use of the two way radio. </li><li>Remain alert and ready to assist student(s) and address his/her needs/behavior. </li></ul> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ride bus route daily and work in close cooperation with the driver assigned to that route. </li><li>Attend training sessions, safety meetings, and staff meetings as required by transportation supervisor. </li><li>Sit and talk with student(s). </li><li>Review bus rules with student(s). </li><li>Monitor behavior and report in writing any behavior infractions. </li><li>Honor confidentiality - discuss student's behavior only with bus driver and transportation supervisor. </li><li>Report in writing to the transportation supervisor any irregular or unusual behavior that might endanger the student. </li><li>Exhibit a caring, professional attitude with parents, students, and staff. </li><li>Perform other such related duties as may be assigned from time to time by transportation supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Be able, mentally, and physically to properly react to any situation while monitoring students on the bus.</p>
