Flow machines (pumps, fans, compressors) are one of the largest consumers of energy on the planet and account for approximately 35% of global electricity consumption. We will trust you to do what it takes to deliver outstanding results.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <p>The Electrical Engineering Intern is assigned to assist the test lab with testing power electronics and electric motors.</p> <ul> <li>Install, assemble and testing of electro-mechanical systems in lab environment </li><li>Record information and results about product performance </li><li>Assist in the commissioning of new test rigs </li><li>Communicate with customers, team members, engineers and managers to determine possible problems or update individuals with work progress, on a daily basis. </li><li>Partner with electrical, firmware and mechanical engineers to fine tune the testing and diagnostic processes </li><li>Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance </li><li>Maintain all tools, equipment and components by performing inventory and scheduled maintenance tasks </li><li>Operate manual tools safely to avoid accidents </li><li>Maintain documentations of system installation and maintenance procedures </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization in test lab </li></ul> <p>The Electrical Engineering Intern is assigned to assist the engineering team with design & programming duties.</p> <ul> <li>Perform basic programming of VIDAR Motors, C code (if familiar), and any other programming language. </li><li>Decipher drawings, diagrams, blueprints and instructions </li><li>Assist in creating drawings & schematics for components and assemblies in Altium. </li><li>Run simulations in LT Spice </li><li>Run tests on PCBs in R&D laboratory </li><li>Record faults and failures into reports </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <p>What will make you our perfect match?</p> <p>The ideal candidate has a technical focused approach, is willing to work in a challenging environment and is able to operate under pressure.</p> <p>Key requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be in third or fourth year of an electrical engineering degree program. </li><li>Good knowledge of MS Office applications, MS Excel in particular </li><li>Quantitative and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills </li><li>Constructive and collaborative approach to problem solving </li><li>Eager to learn and open to feedback </li></ul>
